We're in the home stretch!
This week we will transition from our reading of A Raisin in the Sun to a critical comparison of Lord of the Flies.
We will return to the Langston Hughes poem "Harlem" to reflect on why Hansberry chose a line from it for her play's title. We will also prepare for writing an analytical essay about the play (due May 2).
Wed is Advisory Day--we will discuss our final, year-end Reading Ladder.
On Thurs we will watch a Simon Sinek TEDTalk about ambition and leadership (tied thematically to both the play and our next text).
On Friday we will begin our critical comparison of Lord of the Flies film and novel.
