One week until final project due date (1/11)--let's do this!
Work begins on our final projects. Short lessons will begin some classes. Please schedule conferences with me as needed to review your project plan.
This week we finish our "H.R." editing, our sharing of independent reading plays and begin work on final projects. If you haven't made a decision about what play or musical you will use for the project, you need to choose. We want to use significant class time to work on the projects so you get the support that you need and we only have one week once we return from vacation!
Three days before you are Spillane-less on Thurs and Fri!
On Mon we will coordinate our efforts on our Actor's Packet for "H.R." On Tues we will begin to review the final project for the course. On Wed we will work with a new text to take us into our next unit of study. On Thurs & Fri, you will have time to work on your final project. The last week of the marking period--are you having fun yet?!
This is a very disjointed week for period 7--Mon is cotillion; Tues is no school; Wed is Advisory! This would be a good week to do some individual reading of plays to compensate for all the time we're missing! We will finish up our work with "A Marriage Proposal" this week, culminating with a product that demonstrates how you might put all your research into practice to shape a production. Spirit Week
We will begin Unit 2--Time & Place "A Marriage Proposal" by Anton Chekhov We continue our work with characterization this week and our essential questions. Mon - Wed will be spent looking at "Here We Are" and "27 Wagons Full of Cotton." Fri will be a day to look at a monologue or solo song of your choice for characterization.
Hamlet or A Doll's House question response will be due Tue 10/27 |
